Since 1990, AKTAŞ GROUP has aimed to establish itself permanently as one of the most preferred brands in the petrochemical industry by offering innovative solutions that stand out for their environmental responsibility, meticulousness, efficiency, and innovation.

To achieve this vision, it strives to meet today’s needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

For this reason, AKTAŞ GROUP focuses on developing strong relationships with its partners and stakeholders by managing, operating, and developing its production facilities while taking into account all social, economic, and environmental impacts.

When developing our Corporate Social Responsibility projects, we consider three key impacts on our surroundings: Economic, Environmental, and Social.

This approach enables us to operate at the intersection of this highly complex structure, where we can shed light on the community in which we operate.

Our Projects Focused on Environmental Impact

We focus on reducing the carbon footprint, packaging waste, and water usage associated with the products we sell and the facilities where they are manufactured, as well as their overall environmental impact. We believe that having a positive impact on the planet can also have a positive economic impact.

Social Responsibility

A Tree for Life!

Trees provide food, energy, and income to help communities achieve long-term economic and environmental sustainability. Trees also filter the air and help reverse the effects of climate change. In just one year, a mature deciduous tree produces enough oxygen for 10 people to breathe!

Considering all these environmental benefits, we are focusing on reforestation efforts to restore areas where land has been degraded due to deforestation, wildfires, droughts, floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes.

In this context, on our employees’ birthdays, we partner with TEMA—the Turkish Foundation for Combating Erosion, Reforestation, and the Protection of Natural Resources—to donate a sapling in each employee’s name for planting in areas in need.

A sustainable business must earn the support and approval of its employees, stakeholders, and the communities in which it operates. Both locally and globally, the approaches to securing and maintaining this support are diverse. These efforts involve treating employees fairly and being a good neighbor and member of the community.

Support for Women!

Founded in 1990 to combat violence against women, the Mor Çatı Women’s Shelter Foundation carries out its fight against male violence using feminist methods, with the goal of enabling women to build lives free from free from gender-based discrimination and male violence.

Through the support we receive, we not only build one-on-one solidarity with women in difficult situations within society but also help monitor the implementation of national and international treaties, laws, and regulations to combat violence and ensure gender equality.
